The Directors

Andy Pritikin Is the professional development oversight chair of the American Camp Association, NY Section Board of Directors, and for the past three years has served as chairman of the Tri-State Camp Conference for Youth Development- the largest annual gathering of camp professionals in the world.  Andy has been on numerous ACA committees over the past decade, and has led workshops at both regional and national conferences.  At the local level, Andy is the President of the New Jersey Camps Government Affairs Project, and a member of the American Camp Association- NJ Section Legislative Committee.

Prior to starting Liberty Lake Day Camp, Andy worked for 10 years with two of the most successful day camp and resident camp organizations in the country.  During the camp "off-season" Andy is busy hiring staff, managing the facility, writing and publishing articles on camping, and working with his ACA colleagues in furthering the camp profession in the world of youth development.  Andy also is an active supporter of Morry's Camp and SCOPE- two wonderful non-profit organizations which raise money to send inner-city youths to camp each summer.  This Winter has been one of significant recognition from the Camping world, with Andy being the recipient of separate awards from ACA-NJ, ACA-NY, and the ACA-National.

With a Bachelor's Degree in Music and an Masters in Education, Andy began his professional career as a tenured Instrumental Music Teacher in the Wall Township and South Orange/Maplewood school districts.  At the same time, Andy was a member of a successful rock band, performing hundreds of shows on stage, radio and national TV.  Currently, he still performs occasionally with his New York City jazz group, coaches athletics in his local town, and plays as much basketball as he can.

Jill Pritikin - A CPA turned Girl Scout Leader, with years of experience as an Human Resources Coordinator, Jill serves as a steady conduit of information and understanding for our Liberty Lake Camp Families, taking an interest in each family's unique set of circumstances and needs during the summer season.  Andy and Jill have two young children who attend Liberty Lake, and are always quick to point out anything that needs their attention!

Jason Samuel - A year-round camp professional, with a lifetime of both day and resident camp experience in his native state of Connecticut as well as New York, Jason's talents are wide:  He's an avid mountain climber, sailor, filmmaker, photographer, and team building specialist- having led classes at Temple University.  With years of waterfront experience- lifeguarding, instructing boating and sailing, and managing pool and waterfront staff, Jason helps oversee the staff, program facility and logistics at Liberty Lake.  He is an active member of the American Camp Association, as a trained standards visitor, as well as a board member of EPIC- Emerging Professionals in Camping.

Brandie Lynn  A certified teacher and school administrator with a wealth of South Jersey Camp experience, Brandie's enthusiastic personality is loved and appreciated by both staff and Camp families.  During the off-season, Brandie helps run the ins and outs of the camp office with registration, staffing, and program development.  She is also the mother of her own two adorable little Liberty Lakers, as well as the President of her school's Parent Teacher Organization.  Brandie is a member of the American Camp Association, and a trained standards visitor.

The Directors

Chris Peszka  Sophomore (entering grades 3-4) Head Counselor.  An extraordinarily talented member of our team, Chris worked for many years as a social worker and case manager in the world of foster care, eventually becoming the Director of the program in Philadelphia.  Recently, Chris changed careers and is now working as a school teacher in his hometown of Cinnaminson.  A father of two Liberty Lakers, Chris still makes time to perform music, create amazing wildlife wood carvings, and contribute monthly articles for "The Fisherman Magazine"!

Renee' Woodley  Freshman (entering grades 1-2) Head Counselor.  A dynamic teacher from the Bordentown School District, Renee' has great leadership experience and well as camp experience, having been a Camp director herself.  And as a mother of three, she never stops being a camp director!

Beth Kimmick  Our Daily Special Events Coordinator has the fun job of bringing our amazing "Spirit Calendar" to life each day at Liberty Lake!  With a ton of creativity, and enough "prizes" for every child, Beth brings expertise from the hotel and conference industry to the Camp setting.  She also brings three rambunctious little boys!  Beth is very involved in local community groups in her town of New Egypt, including being the past President of the MOMS club.

Casey Durr  Our "Cubs" (pre-school) Head Counselor is a dynamic kindergarten teacher in the North Hanover School District, with extra college degrees in administration and special education. Casey is an inspirational leader and communicator, as well as a detail-oriented perfectionist. We are elated to have Casey back with our littlest campers!

Brandi Carnivale  The longest active employee of "the Lake", Brandie is the personification of Camp.  Her engaging personality, positive attitude, leadership skills and dedication are simply legendary.  Brandi makes a positive impact on the lives of hundreds of campers and staff each summer, just by being herself.  Having held most every position at Liberty Lake, Brandi is back in Senior Camp where she started!

Brian Harris  Former College Administrator, current High School teacher, future principal, Soccer player/coach, and the director of his School's Musicals, Brian brings a lot of talent and experience to Senior Camp- as well as a tremendous sense of humor!

Office Staff  Sheila, Jenn, Jill, Brandie, Joe + Lori (transportation) Nancy (electives) and our nurses Alison + Laura will be glad to help you out whenever you need information or assistance during the summer, or in the months leading up to the summer.

The Directors

The Best and the Brightest!  Every group is led by a "Group Leader" (older college students or young teachers), and assisted by one or more "Counselors" (entering 11th or 12th graders).  Activity areas are led by "Specialists" (mostly teachers).  Cubs groups average 10-12 campers, the rest of the camp averages 15 campers per group.
