Most camper days at Liberty Lake Day Camp begin and end with bus transportation at over 60 central locations, an add-on service to tuition that is well worth it! And please don’t assume that transportation to and from Liberty Lake is boring and mundane… Because even with no electronics, we create a FUN weekly program made especially for the bus ride.
Camp Begins on the Bus! Our “bus captains” monitor safety, while filling the morning ride with games, music, contests, prizes, and even scavenger hunts. When the buses roll into our parking lot, the kids are singing and shouting camp cheers, competing for the coveted, slushy filled ‘Bus Spirit Trophy’ – awarded weekly to the bus that gains the most points by demonstrating the most enthusiasm, participation, and safety awareness.
Safety First. We work with the best local professional bus companies to ensure our pick-up and drop-off system runs efficiently and on time. Pick-up times generally range between 7:45-8:15am in the morning with drop-offs between 4:15-5pm in the afternoon. Designated Central Express bus stops at shopping centers, schools, and parks are selected based on the most populous locations of our Liberty Lake families. Please see the link below for details. If meeting the bus at a designated stop isn’t possible, please call the office.
Safety is our primary concern when transporting your child to and from Liberty Lake. All bus drivers are professional bus drivers – this is their full time job. They are drug tested, possess a School Bus CDL (license) and their driving-safety records are carefully monitored by the Department of Transportation. Our drivers have years of experience transporting local school school kids during challenging scenarios, including bad weather, rush-hour traffic, and the high-noise output of happy campers having a great time!
Seatbelts, GPS, and Security cameras installed on the buses ensure an additional level of customer service, safety, and precaution regarding children’s behavior during the bus ride. Each bus is supervised by Liberty Lake Bus Captain, who attend additional bus-duty and behavioral training before the start of our camp season.
Your child’s time on the bus is an extension of camp life, so camp rules apply, and we make it count. We do all we can to ensure our campers enjoy the ride!
